Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays and other medical imaging
• Maintain patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Skills:

• Dental assisting experience preferred
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
• Familiarity with dental software systems such as Curve
• Ability to take accurate dental x-rays and medical imaging
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
