Dental Hygienist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting optimal oral health. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
• Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical records.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly and supportive atmosphere for young patients.
• Maintain accurate medical and dental records using Eaglesoft software.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices, including pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required for maintaining accurate records.
