Job Type: Part-Time

Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry treatments with precision and confidence.
• Perform expanded functions such as coronal polishing, placing temporary restorations, and other delegated clinical tasks in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed to produce high-quality images for diagnosis.
• Manage patient flow efficiently by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing dental instruments according to sterilization procedures, and processing dental instruments for reuse.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records using patient management software while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team to ensure four-handed dentistry practices are upheld for efficiency and comfort.
• Uphold infection control standards diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification or license as required by state law.
