Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Take digital dental x-rays using advanced imaging technology while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems Dentrix ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Gather vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and treatment planning.
• Provide excellent patient management by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while supporting infection control standards across all clinical activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency in Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dental instruments, equipment operation, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the dental team and provide outstanding patient care.
• Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training in healthcare infection control is required
