Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform various dental procedures such as dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients in Cantonese and Mandarin, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care clearly and compassionately.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and other specialties to provide the highest standard of care.
Requirements
- Valid license to practice dentistry in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification.
- Bilingual proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is essential for effective client communication.
- Demonstrated experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and healthcare diagnosis procedures.
- Proven ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant crown procedures.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and dental fabrication processes.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering compassionate patient care and education.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and adherence to all state healthcare regulations related to medical documentation and records management.
- Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
