Job Description

About the Role
Grow Your Career in a Practice That Invests in You

Are you looking for more than just a front desk job? Do you enjoy connecting with people, solving problems, and being part of a team that values your ideas, personal growth, and leadership potential?

At Brooklyn Oak Dental Care, you'll have the opportunity to develop professionally, take ownership of meaningful responsibilities, and potentially grow into an Operations Manager role.

We're an independently owned, upscale dental practice in Park Slope, Brooklyn, known for personalized patient care, advanced dentistry, and a commitment to treating people with compassion and respect.

What makes us different?

A clear path for growth: We are looking for someone with leadership potential who can gradually develop into an Operations Manager role.

Investment in your development: We provide training, coaching, continuing education opportunities, and support for professional and personal growth.

A culture of emotional intelligence: We value kindness, self-awareness, accountability, open communication, and constructive conflict resolution.

Your voice matters: We welcome ideas, encourage initiative, and value team members who help us improve.

Advanced, patient-centered dentistry: You'll work alongside clinicians offering comprehensive dentistry, clear aligners, airway-focused care, and innovative treatments.

Meaningful patient relationships: We prioritize personalized service and lasting relationships rather than a high-volume, corporate approach.

Competitive compensation and benefits: Starting at $25–$27/hour, with paid time off, paid sick time, retirement benefits, and opportunities for merit-based raises. Compensation is negotiable for experienced dental Operations Managers.

What Your Day Looks Like

You'll be the welcoming face and voice of our practice, helping patients feel comfortable and cared for from their first phone call through the completion of treatment.

Your day will include coordinating appointments, managing a productive schedule, answering patient questions, resolving concerns, collaborating with our clinical team, and keeping front desk operations running smoothly.

Some days will be busy and unpredictable. You'll be trusted to prioritize, problem-solve, communicate clearly, and maintain your composure when challenges arise.

As you develop in the position, you'll have opportunities to participate in team leadership, training, operational improvements, and practice management.

Who Thrives Here

We're looking for someone who is naturally warm, upbeat, grounded, and emotionally mature.

You enjoy helping people, remain steady under pressure, welcome coaching without defensiveness, and take responsibility for your own reactions. You recognize that frustrations are inevitable, but believe in processing emotions thoughtfully rather than projecting them onto others.

You communicate concerns directly and respectfully, approach conflicts with curiosity rather than judgment, and can balance compassion with healthy boundaries and accountability.

You don't need to be perfect. You do need to be self-aware, growth-oriented, reliable, and genuinely committed to helping your team succeed.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of administrative or customer service experience.

Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and computer skills.

Dental or medical office experience strongly preferred.

Experience mentoring or supervising others is a plus.

Willingness to learn dental terminology, scheduling systems, and office protocols.

Ability to handle challenging patient interactions with professionalism and empathy.

Schedule: Full-time, in person
Location: Park Slope / Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, NY
Pay: $25–$27/hour to start; negotiable for experienced dental Operations Managers.
