About the Role
The dental front desk staff member is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is crucial for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring efficient office operations, and providing exceptional customer service to support both patients and the clinical team.
What You'll Do
• Greet and check patients in and out warmly and professionally
• Assist with patient forms and ensure all information is accurately recorded and updated in the system
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software
• Coordinate patient flow and manage provider schedules to optimize efficiency
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other correspondence promptly and professionally
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Prepare and submit insurance claims and track their progress
• Collect patient payments (copays, balances) and issue receipts
