We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant to support our team in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management policies.
- Assist the dentist during periodontal procedures, dental implant placements, oral surgeries, and other clinical treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and image quality while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems in Dentrix, documenting treatment details and medical histories precisely.
- Monitor vital signs and medical documentation as needed to support safe treatment planning for patients with complex health conditions.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment options while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
- Support the dental reception team by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments using patient management software, and ensuring a smooth clinic experience for all visitors.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an RDA or dental assistant in a busy dental clinic setting, preferably within a periodontal or implant specialty practice.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient documentation and patient record management.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instrumentation, sterilization procedures, and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
- Hands-on experience assisting with oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry (a plus), and general dentistry procedures.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including dental x-ray machines, and medical imaging tools confidently.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures and medical terminology necessary for accurate clinical communication.
- Excellent patient care skills combined with professionalism in maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
