Elevate Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center committed to providing high-quality, accessible, and compassionate healthcare to the communities we serve.

We are expanding our dental services and are seeking a General Dentist to join our team at our San Fernando Road location. This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist who wants to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population while working in a mission-driven community health environment.

We welcome experienced dentists as well as recent dental school graduates who are committed to providing excellent patient care.

Position Summary

The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to both adult and pediatric patients, including preventive, diagnostic, restorative, and other general dental services.

The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, patient-focused, collaborative, and comfortable treating patients from a wide range of backgrounds. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

The General Dentist's responsibilities include:

· Perform comprehensive and periodic dental examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.

· Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and conditions affecting the teeth, gums, and oral cavity.

· Provide comprehensive general dentistry services within the dentist's training, experience, and clinical privileges.

· Perform preventive, restorative, periodontal, prosthodontic, endodontic, pediatric, and routine oral surgery procedures, as clinically appropriate.

· Provide services including fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, extractions, emergency dental treatment, and other procedures commonly performed in a general dental practice.

· Order, review, and interpret dental radiographs and other diagnostic information.

· Administer local anesthesia and prescribe medications when clinically appropriate.

· Educate patients and families regarding oral health, preventive care, treatment options, and recommended follow-up.

· Provide dental care to both adult and pediatric patients.

· Identify cases requiring specialty care and make appropriate referrals.

· Maintain complete, timely, and accurate electronic dental records.

· Collaborate with dental assistants and other members of the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

· Follow infection prevention, sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable clinical and regulatory requirements.

· Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.

· Maintain productivity and quality standards established by Elevate Health Center.

· Provide culturally responsive and compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

· Perform other duties reasonably related to the position.

QualificationsRequired

· Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.

· Current and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of California.

· Current DEA registration, where required for prescribing responsibilities.

· Current BLS/CPR certification.

· Eligible to participate in Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other applicable government healthcare programs.

· Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality patient care.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred

· Ability to communicate effectively with patients in Spanish is strongly preferred.

· At least one year of clinical experience or completion of a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) or General Practice Residency (GPR) program is preferred.

· Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.

· Experience in a community health center, FQHC, public health, or safety-net healthcare setting.

· Experience using electronic dental or electronic health record systems.

Compensation

$700–$800 per day

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, clinical skills, and other job-related considerations.
