Job Overview

Boca Center Dental is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Boca Raton, Florida.

This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role as the practice continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient chairside assistance during general, restorative, cosmetic, and other dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure seamless clinical workflows and exceptional patient experiences.
• Operate the iTero intraoral scanner, capturing accurate digital impressions and supporting digital dentistry workflows.
• Utilize Dentrix dental practice management software to maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, treatment documentation, and digital charts.
• Take diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with applicable Florida requirements.
• Deliver attentive, personalized patient care, ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their visits.
• Anticipate the dentist's needs during procedures, maintaining efficiency and minimizing interruptions.
• Follow OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and established infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
• Maintain organized, fully stocked operatories and assist with dental inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, administrative staff, and patients to ensure a coordinated patient experience.
• Uphold the practice's high standards of presentation, discretion, professionalism, and service.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience in a clinical dental practice (required).
• Proficiency in Dentrix dental practice management software (required).
• Hands-on experience operating the iTero intraoral scanner (required).
• Strong chairside assisting skills and familiarity with general and restorative dental procedures.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, clinical workflows, sterilization procedures, and infection control standards.
• Ability to perform dental radiography duties in compliance with Florida requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and a patient-first approach.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate clinical needs, and collaborate effectively with a dental team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering a consistently high standard of care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a boutique, cosmetic, or high-end dental practice.
• Familiarity with cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and advanced restorative procedures.
• Experience working with digital dentistry technology and modern dental equipment.
• Bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish) are an asset.
• Experience delivering personalized care to patients with elevated service expectations.
