Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for procedures
- Assist dentists during various treatments, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental x-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines while maintaining strict infection control standards
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and patient management software to ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy
- Follow infection prevention management protocols including aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures to ensure clinical confidentiality policies are upheld
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient management
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other patient management software
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery
- Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and sterilization tools
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques like four-handed dentistry and instrument passing to enhance efficiency during procedures
- Familiarity with infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise
- Ability to accurately process dental instruments and medical imaging while adhering to aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatment

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
