Position needed for Tuesdays and Thrusdays for now. Duties

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including digital imaging using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners
  • Manage patient records accurately using patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
  • Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
  • Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain infection prevention management by adhering to dental sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols
  • Process dental instruments efficiently, ensuring proper sterilization and handling according to infection control standards
  • Support patient education by explaining procedures, post-treatment care instructions, and answering questions with clarity and professionalism
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the dental reception team to manage appointments, patient flow, and administrative tasks

Skills

  • Proven experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery
  • Expertise in dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging technology, and dental instrument processing
  • Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and team collaboration
  • Ability to operate dental equipment confidently, including 3D scanners and other advanced diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of general dentistry workflows combined with proficiency in dental assisting duties such as chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry
  • Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care
