Job Overview

Lombard Family Dentistry is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our established, privately owned dental practice.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong periodontal assessment skills, excellent patient education abilities, and demonstrated proficiency in digital intraoral scanning using 3Shape TRIOS and/or iTero systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments.
• Conduct thorough periodontal assessments, including periodontal charting, gingival evaluation, and identification of periodontal disease.
• Obtain and review dental radiographs using digital imaging technology.
• Perform accurate digital intraoral scans using 3Shape TRIOS and/or iTero scanners for clinical documentation and treatment planning.
• Review medical histories, medications, and relevant health conditions before treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, preventive care, and recommended treatment.
• Collaborate with the dentist to identify restorative, periodontal, orthodontic, and other treatment needs.
• Maintain accurate electronic clinical records, periodontal charting, and treatment documentation.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active Illinois Registered Dental Hygienist license (required).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical proficiency in preventive and periodontal therapy.
• Required: Prior hands-on experience and proficiency with digital intraoral scanners, including 3Shape TRIOS and/or iTero.
• Must be able to independently capture accurate, complete digital impressions with minimal supervision.
• Experience with both TRIOS and iTero systems is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with digital radiography and electronic dental records.
• Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the dental team.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Experience with dental practice management software, including Dentrix or similar systems, preferred.
• New graduates and experienced RDHs are welcome to apply, provided they meet the digital scanning proficiency requirement.

Compensation & What We Offer

• $55–$65 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid upfront.
• Part-time position with approximately 24–27 hours per week.

Sign-On Bonus Terms: The $5,000 sign-on bonus is subject to a 24-month employment commitment and prorated repayment provisions for early voluntary resignation, as detailed in a separate written agreement.
