Are you a pediatric dental assistant who loves working with kids and making their visits to the dentist as fun as a trip to Disneyland?? (Minus the long lines, of course!)

We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and compassionate team member to join our vibrant pediatric dental office as one of our amazing assistants! As part of our team, you'll play an essential role in creating a positive and stress-free experience for our young patients and their families, leaving a long-lasting positive impression of the dentist for years to come!

What You’ll Do:

• Provide top-notch dental care while ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for children
• Educate patients and their families about good oral hygiene habits
• Collaborate with a team of caring professionals who are dedicated to making each visit a fun and positive experience
• Assist in a variety of dental procedures, all with a focus on making kids smile!

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone with 1-2 years of dental assisting experience (knowledge/experience with pediatric dentistry is a HUGE plus!)
• A passion for working with children and providing excellent dental care
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude

Duties

• Be willing to drive to our South Jordan, UT office once or twice a week depending on need. (It varies, but most weeks we are there one day)
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures for pediatric patients.
• Able to chart during both re-care appts, as well as treatment appts, etc.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments in an organized way - follow OSHA regulations
• Take dental radiographs with a handheld Nomad system
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointments using Dentrix Ascend dental software
• Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
• Support the dentist in pediatric dental procedures including Sedation appointments (both Oral and IV), a variety of treatment procedures, etc.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
