Dental Hygienist

Kwon Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated, skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our exceptional and fun team of professionals! The ideal candidate has a firm grasp on current best practices in the field and enjoys and understands the importance of constantly growing and learning the best ways to care for the oral needs of our patients. This role requires strong and professional communication skills as well as an understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and adherence to privacy and safety regulations. Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments.
• Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Utilize dental systems and medical imaging technology effectively during procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry as needed, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
• Work with other teammates to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, privacy, and professionalism in the clinic.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
• Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred; previous dental assisting experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and vital signs monitoring.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing exceptional patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
