Smile Designers is a well-established, privately owned dental practice in Salem, Massachusetts. Our hygienist of over 20 years is retiring in December, and we're looking for someone to join our friendly, close-knit team.

We take pride in providing quality dental care and making our patients feel comfortable and welcome. Many of our staff members have been with us for years, and we value the relationships we've built with both our patients and each other.

What We Offer

• $58–$62 per hour, depending on experience
• Part-time position, 2–3 days per week
• Flexible choice of days
• Typically 8-hour shifts, with the option for 6-hour shifts
• Regular weekly schedule
• 60-minute appointments for routine hygiene visits

What We're Looking For

We're hoping to find someone who is gentle, friendly, upbeat, and reliable. Someone who enjoys getting to know their patients, listens to their concerns, and takes the time to make them feel comfortable.

A positive attitude and being a genuine team player are especially important to us.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine dental cleanings and preventive care
• Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and periodontal therapy
• Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate clinical records
• Review patient charts for radiographs that may be due or previously recommended treatment that hasn't been completed, and discuss follow-up needs with the dentist and patient
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Work closely with the dentist and other team members to provide quality patient care

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts dental hygienist license
• Good communication and patient care skills
• Strong attention to detail
• New graduates and experienced hygienists are welcome
