Dental Hygienist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team at Simpler Dental.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and support overall oral health education.

This role requires proficiency in dental procedures, patient communication, and the use of dental equipment and technology to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in maintaining accurate medical records and supporting the clinical operations of our practice.

Duties

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including cleanings, examinations, and preventive treatments.
• Perform dental x-rays and ensure proper imaging using dental X-ray equipment.
• Educate patients on oral health care practices, including proper brushing, flossing, and other dental hygiene techniques such as Arestin & Laser treatments.
• Maintain and update medical records accurately within EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and promote oral health awareness.
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of dental equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Support the clinical team during various procedures by preparing tools and materials as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, medical records management, and EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
• Experience performing dental x-rays and using dental imaging equipment is required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Knowledge of dental care patient education techniques to promote oral health awareness.

Pay: $55.04 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
