Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are a friendly, private dental practice conveniently located near Midway Airport seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team.

We are looking for either:

• Part-Time: Mondays and Fridays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Full-Time: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Duties:

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft.
• Manage infection prevention protocols by sterilizing equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques, and ensuring a safe clinical environment.
• Provide a positive, caring experience for every patient.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient care.

Requirements:

• Valid dental hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and patient education.
• Knowledge of infection control standards, healthcare regulations (including HIPAA), and medical records management.
