Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate dental hygienist to join our established private dental practice, which focuses on pedodontics and provides care in a single-doctor setting. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a professional who enjoys working with children, values high-quality patient care, and thrives in a close-knit clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to creating a comfortable, supportive experience for every patient. Because our practice emphasizes pediatric care, we are especially interested in someone who can communicate effectively with children and families, encourage healthy oral hygiene habits, and help build trust through patience and professionalism.
Responsibilities include performing routine dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, as well as taking and processing dental radiographs as directed. You will also assist with periodontal charting, record patient histories, and educate patients and parents on preventive dental care, home hygiene techniques, and treatment recommendations. In addition, you will work closely with the doctor to support efficient patient flow, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure that each visit runs smoothly and comfortably.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a private practice environment where teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail are highly valued. A college-level education in dental hygiene and current licensure or eligibility for licensure are expected. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and modern clinical best practices is essential. Experience in pedodontics is preferred, though candidates with a solid foundation in general hygiene and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and enthusiastic about contributing to a patient-centered practice. Excellent interpersonal skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a single-doctor office are important for success in this role.
This is a full-time position with the opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive team committed to excellent pediatric dental care and long-term patient relationships.
