We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs
• Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort for both the patient and the dentist
• Operate dental equipment such as medical imaging devices, digital radiography systems, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
• Maintain strict infection control protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to OSHA standards
• Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure proper medical coding for billing purposes
• Monitor patient vital signs before procedures and provide chairside assistance with dental terminology understanding to support smooth workflow

Experience

• Prior experience working as a dental hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting is preferred
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children is a plus
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe practice
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly using appropriate medical terminology
• Experience in general dentistry environments with exposure to dental assisting duties including chairside support is advantageous
• Certification as a registered dental hygienist in accordance with state licensing requirements is mandatory
