Job Description

Overview

Implantologist / Full-Arch Implant Surgeon

Full-Time or Part-Time | High-Volume Implant Practice | Connecticut

We are a growing, technology-driven dental implant practice seeking an experienced Implantologist / Full-Arch Implant Surgeon to join our clinical team.

This position is ideal for an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, periodontist, or experienced general dentist with advanced implant surgical training who wants to focus heavily on implant dentistry, complex rehabilitation, and full-arch treatment.

Our practice is built around comprehensive implant care and provides the infrastructure, digital technology, clinical support, treatment coordination, and patient flow necessary for the right doctor to concentrate primarily on excellent clinical care.

Clinical Focus

The position will primarily involve implant surgery and full-arch rehabilitation, including:

  • Full-arch immediate-load implant surgery
  • All-on-X / fixed full-arch rehabilitation
  • Single and multiple implant placement
  • Complex extractions
  • Alveoloplasty
  • Bone grafting
  • Guided and digitally planned implant surgery
  • Implant revision and replacement when appropriate
  • Management of surgical complications
  • Collaboration with restorative and digital teams throughout treatment

Experience with advanced grafting and sinus surgery is valuable but not necessarily required depending on the candidate's overall implant experience.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a clinician who is:

  • Highly experienced in implant dentistry
  • Comfortable managing complex surgical cases
  • Clinically meticulous and treatment-plan driven
  • Confident performing high-volume implant surgery
  • Comfortable working within established clinical systems and protocols
  • Collaborative with restorative doctors, laboratory teams, treatment coordinators, and clinical staff
  • Committed to excellent patient communication and outcomes
  • Interested in practicing implant dentistry at a high level without having to build an implant practice from scratch

Ideal Background

Candidates may include:

  • Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons
  • Periodontists
  • General Dentists with significant implant surgical experience

Board certification or specialty training is welcomed but is not required for an experienced general dentist who can demonstrate a substantial history of successful implant placement and full-arch treatment.

For general-dentist candidates, advanced implant education, mentorship, residency training, fellowship training, or extensive documented clinical experience is strongly preferred.

Full-Arch Experience

Experience performing full-arch implant surgery is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with:

  • Diagnosis and treatment planning of terminal dentition
  • Prosthetically driven implant positioning
  • Immediate implant placement
  • Immediate loading protocols
  • Multi-unit abutment concepts
  • Primary stability requirements
  • Full-arch conversion workflows
  • Digital records and treatment planning
  • Managing patients from surgery through integration and definitive restoration

Candidates with excellent implant surgical experience who have not yet performed a high volume of full-arch cases may still be considered if their clinical foundation is strong.

Practice Environment

You will be joining a practice specifically structured around implant and full-arch dentistry.

Our team includes dedicated treatment coordination, digital and clinical case coordination, surgical support, restorative workflows, and laboratory coordination.

This allows the implant surgeon to spend more time practicing dentistry and less time handling the administrative burden normally associated with complex implant cases.

Our goal is to create a system where:

The Treatment Coordinator handles case presentation and case acceptance.

The clinical coordination team manages records, laboratory workflow, surgical readiness, and case progression.

The surgical team is prepared before the doctor enters the operatory.

The Implantologist focuses on diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery, clinical decision-making, and patient care.

Technology & Digital Dentistry

Our practice incorporates modern digital workflows including:

  • CBCT imaging
  • Intraoral scanning
  • Digital treatment planning
  • Digital full-arch records
  • Guided workflows when appropriate
  • Digitally coordinated prosthetic treatment
  • Close collaboration between the surgical, restorative, and laboratory teams

Comfort with digital dentistry is strongly preferred.

What We Offer

  • Established implant and full-arch patient flow
  • Strong internal treatment-coordination team
  • Dedicated clinical and surgical support
  • Digital treatment-planning infrastructure
  • Laboratory and restorative coordination
  • Opportunity to perform a significant volume of implant dentistry
  • Ability to focus clinically rather than building cases independently
  • Competitive compensation with significant earning potential
  • Full-time or potentially flexible clinical schedule for the right candidate
  • Long-term opportunity within a growing implant organization

The Right Candidate

This position is particularly well suited for a doctor who loves surgery but does not necessarily want the administrative burden of owning and operating an entire dental practice.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their clinical outcomes, communicates well with patients and colleagues, and wants to become an important long-term member of a sophisticated implant team.

This is not a position for someone looking to occasionally place implants between routine general-dentistry procedures.

Implant dentistry is the core of the role.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Active or eligibility for Connecticut dental licensure
  • Appropriate implant surgical training and experience
  • Strong understanding of implant treatment planning
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Commitment to documentation, protocols, and collaborative patient care

Specialty training in oral surgery or periodontics is welcomed but not mandatory for appropriately qualified candidates.

To Apply

Please submit your CV or résumé along with a brief description of:

  • Your implant training and experience
  • Approximate number of implants placed
  • Your experience with full-arch / All-on-X treatment
  • Types of grafting and advanced surgical procedures you routinely perform
  • Your current or desired clinical schedule

Confidential inquiries are welcome.
