Duties

  • Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, restorations, extractions, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, diagnosing dental conditions using medical imaging and dental terminology, and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards.
  • Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize workflow efficiency and patient experience.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry to provide innovative care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting with familiarity in dental office operations and patient management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
  • Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, anatomy related to oral structures, and infection control practices.
  • Experience performing diverse procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering compassionate patient care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection prevention measures essential for maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
