Responsibilities

• Diagnose and develop comprehensive treatment plans for orthodontic cases, including braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances.
• Perform clinical procedures such as dental assessments, adjustments, and appliance placements with precision and care.
• Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure smooth workflow during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards.
• Educate patients on treatment options, oral health maintenance, and post-treatment care to foster understanding and engagement.
• Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment tracking.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safety procedures during all clinical activities.
• Stay current with advancements in orthodontics, dental technology, and healthcare diagnosis to provide innovative patient solutions.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization or certification in orthodontics.
